Hand-Drawn Designs
Where Every Piece Has a Story
Established in 2011, Victoria Eggs began its journey on a chilly market stall in Spitalfields. The idea for the brand took root years earlier, while Victoria was working as a designer in Sydney, Australia. One afternoon, overlooking the Opera House and Harbour Bridge, she found herself sketching a tea cup and saucer, longing for the familiar comforts of home. By the time she returned to London, her sketchbook was filled with designs that captured the spirit of Britain. She began hand-printing a small stock of tea towels and t-shirts, laying the foundation for what would become Victoria Eggs – a brand devoted to celebrating the magic in life’s smallest, everyday moments.
Every Victoria Eggs piece begins in Victoria’s sketchbook, inspired by memories, stories, and the little joys of life – the nostalgic whiff of salt and vinegar chips at the seaside, discovering London from the top deck of a Routemaster bus, or the glow of Big Ben on an evening stroll. Victoria can often visualise an entire design in her mind before putting pen to paper, imagining how each element will interact and come to life. From rough sketches, she intricately illustrates every detail, then brings them together digitally, adding colour and refining the composition until the story of the design is fully realised. Surrounded by music and copious amounts of Rooibos tea, this is where Victoria feels most at home, content, and truly inspired.
Our products are made to bring comfort, connection, and joy to everyday life. Whether it’s the mug your customers sip from during quiet moments, the apron they wear while cooking for loved ones, or the bag they reach for every Saturday morning at the market – we want these to be their trusted companions for a lifetime.
We pay attention to the small things – the jute string that ties a swing tag, the charm on a keyring that recalls somewhere special, or the thoughtful details inspired by stories, places, and memories. These details create connection and meaning for your customers, helping them find joy in every piece. Every element is considered, from sketch to final product, ensuring that each item carries charm, purpose, and care.
Over the years, Victoria Eggs has grown from a humble market stall to a globally recognised brand. Its products have found their way into renowned establishments such as Liberty and Harrods, as well as homes in the US, Japan, and across Europe. The brand has been featured in international press and recognised with design awards, all while remaining committed to creating UK-made, hand-crafted pieces that tell stories, spark memories, and become part of everyday life. Every Victoria Eggs product is designed to be cherished – a memory to keep, or a moment to pass on.
“My designs are snapshots of special moments in time we wish to cherish forever and gift to those we love most.”
From Sketchbook to Studio
The spark of inspiration is only the beginning. Victoria refines these initial feelings into intricate, hand-drawn designs in her Kingston upon Thames studio. This is where the magic of collaboration happens, particularly for our bespoke projects. Whether we are researching the history of the Abbey Road Studios to create a musical scavenger hunt of details, or working with the beekeepers at the Royal Albert Hall to capture the life on their roof, our designs are rooted in deep, authentic research. We believe in creating pieces that reward a closer look, ensuring every stroke of the pen tells a rich and detailed story.
Award Winning Quality
Once the story is perfected on paper, it is entrusted to our artisan partners across the UK. This is our commitment: the same care that goes into the first sketch goes into the final product. Every mug, tea towel, and piece of stationery is brought to life using the finest British craftsmanship and sustainable practices—from using eco-friendly water-based inks to ensuring our ceramics are hand-finished in Stoke-on-Trent. The result is a high-quality piece designed to be memorable, collectible, and cherished long after the moment has passed.
