This month, we spoke to the lovely team over at Tiptree Tea Room and Jam Shop.
We caught up with General Manager of the Tea Room and Jam Shop, Jade, to find out a little more about their store.
Tell us a bit about your shop, Jade.
Welcome to the Tiptree Tea Room and Jam Shop, nestled in the heart of Tiptree, Essex. Visitors can experience the quintessential charm of British culture and indulge in the finest homemade jams and preserves.
Located in the picturesque village of Tiptree, our shop exudes a warm and welcoming atmosphere, reminiscent of a traditional British charm. As you step inside, you'll be greeted by our lovely Jam shop team who will be on hand to help you with any requests you may have. The Jam Shop offers the Tiptree range as well as a selection of carefully selected giftware.
The Wilkin family have been farming at Tiptree, Essex, since 1757, and making quality preserves and spreads there since 1885. We grow a wide range of traditional English fruits and use them to make conserves, condiments, and other treats in our factory by the farm.
What sets us apart is our dedication to preserving the rich heritage of Tiptree jams, which have been crafted with care and expertise for over a century. Our range includes an array of delicious flavours, from our Famous Little Scarlet Strawberry Jam and Raspberry Jam to more exotic combinations like Wild Blueberry Conserve and Lime Curd. We also offer personalised Tiptree Jams and Tiptree Liquors to add a unique touch to your shopping experience.

In three words, we'd describe our shop as charming, Quintessentially British, and authentic.
What’s important to you as a shop manager?
As a shop manager, what's most important to me is creating a welcoming atmosphere where customers feel valued and inspired. I love the sense of community that comes with being a shop manager, getting to know our customers and building relationships with them over time.
What’s your favourite season in the shop?
At the Tiptree Jam Shop, our favourite season is undoubtedly strawberry season. It holds a special place in our hearts as we grow our very own strawberries on the Tiptree Farm, including our famous Little Scarlet strawberries.
Why do you choose to stock Victoria Eggs?
We choose to stock Victoria Eggs because their homeware perfectly embodies the essence of Great British charm and nostalgia. We first found Victoria Eggs at a trade show and was instantly wowed by their collections, the quality of fabrics and print design is beautiful and fits perfectly into our shop's aesthetic.
What’s your favourite Victoria Eggs collection?
Our favourite collection from Victoria Eggs has to be the Afternoon Tea collection, perfectly aligning with our reputation for delicious Afternoon Teas.
