Q+A with the Tower Bridge Gift Shop, our October Retailer of the Month

Our retailers are such an important part of the Wonderful World of Victoria Eggs. So, in celebration of the incredible people we work alongside, we’re proud to bring you our October Retailer of the Month.

This month, we spoke to the incredible team over at the Tower Bridge Shop, the gift shop for one of London’s most iconic landmarks.

We caught up with the Retail Management team for the shop to find out a little more about their store.

Tell us about your store.

We are the Tower Bridge Gift shop which is right next to the beating heart of the Bridge: the Engine Rooms! We sell an eclectic London themed range of different suppliers and designers with a specific Tower Bridge theme. Did you know? Tower Bridge is one of five Thames crossings owned and maintained by City Bridge Foundation, a London funder, that also distributes over £30m per year to charitable causes. Income generated at Tower Bridge goes towards City Bridge Foundation's charitable work across London. We are London’s defining landmark and want to give everyone who visits the opportunity to take a little souvenir of London home with them. We are a unique trader and pride ourselves on the iconic collections we offer.

Vibrant, Inclusive and Welcoming

What's important to you as a brand?

We love good quality products and being able to share part of our heritage, story and history with customers. We enjoy having a little bit of something for everyone so each and every individual, even our littlest explorers, gets to take a souvenir home of their fun day. We enjoy the people we get to meet. As an international destination, we get to welcome customers from all over the world and love seeing over 4,000 visitors a day through our doors during our busy periods. It’s our mission to make each one of their experiences as special as the next.

What's your favourite season in the store?

We all feel Christmas is our favourite time of year! It is a big time for retail, especially in the Bridge where we expand our offer to include a Christmas pop-up shop! We love how festive the river and surrounding area feels and our customers are especially out to enjoy that festive cheer.

Why do you choose to stock Victoria Eggs?

Victoria Eggs has a special place within our shop. We (and our customers!) love Victoria’s London-themed designs, including our bespoke Tower Bridge range which is across all her merchandise. Eggs’s products are high quality and UK designed and made which really makes a big difference to our customers, especially those who are looking for that extra-special gift. We are always looking out for talented UK based designers to promote in our shop and Victoria Eggs is one of the best we have found! The other reason we love selling her ranges is that our customers love them too! She is our biggest independent designer that we order from and our customers can’t get enough of her different ranges.

What's your favourite Victoria Eggs collection?

We love them all! Our individual favourites are the Queen Elizabeth II Commemorative collection, and the Tower Bridge bespoke collection, but our customers' favourite London range is the 'Big Smoke'.
