Our retailers are such an important part of the Wonderful World of Victoria Eggs. So, in celebration of the incredible people we work alongside, we’re proud to bring you our August Retailer of the Month.
This month we spoke to the lovely team at The Imperial War Museum.
We caught up with Retail and Admissions Manager, Emily Batt, to find out a little more about their store.
Tell us about the shop, Emily.
Churchill War Rooms, located in Westminster, was the secret underground headquarters where Winston Churchill and government officers directed the Second World War. The shop is at the end of the tour and is filled with products which link back to the historical site and time-period as well as the location that we’re based in.

Historical, curated & unique.
What's important to you as a retail manager?
Getting to know our visitors is always one of our favourite parts, many of them come with some family history linking back to the war and it’s always interesting to listen to their stories and the impact their visit has had on them. From a retail perspective, it would be getting new products and seeing those connect with visitors and finding different ways to display products to help with sales.
What's your favourite season in the shop?
The favourite season is easily Christmas! We bring in a great Christmas range each year, and it brings a bit of fun into the shop too. Although not a season, any important anniversary such as the VE Day 80th anniversary this year is always a special time to be at Churchill War Rooms as again it brings visitors in that have a connection to the site.
Why did you choose to stock Victoria Eggs, and what's your favourite Victoria Eggs collection?
As a major destination in the heart of London, our Churchill War Rooms site is surrounded by many iconic London landmarks which feature on the Victoria Eggs London Skyline collection. Our visitors love the classic design that showcases these notable features of the city and so do we. The red bus motif is a particular favourite from this, which inspired these lovely cupcakes made by one of my colleagues for our summer staff party!
